Fresh, pure water is what many people want – and for that, there's nothing better than a good water purifier. After finally choosing the best water purifier for your family and needs, one more question arises, after all, how to install water purifier?

The good news is that most models have a very simplified installation process, and you'll be able to install the product yourself, without needing a specialized technician. To help you on this mission, we've put together this complete content. Follow the reading!

Where to install the water purifier?

The installation location is a very important point and you must choose it carefully and carefully, always considering the indications and requirements in the manual.

Most models must be installed at a minimum distance of 5 centimeters between the sides of the purifier and the furniture, in order to ensure adequate air circulation and even make filter replacement simpler.

Some recommendations regarding choosing the ideal location are:

the purifier must be away from the sun, as this harms the conservation of the product and water cooling;
the purifier should be in a dry, covered and ventilated place;
there must be an outlet near the purifier, in the case of models connected to electricity;
if the purifier is to be placed on top of a piece of furniture, make sure that it supports a load greater than 10 kg;
if the purifier is installed close to a wall, use an elbow to prevent the water hose from kinking.

Other important details:

In addition to these questions, check the technical part. For example, checking if there is a water point or a half-inch gauge faucet in your house.

They need to be no more than 2.3 meters away from where you will install the purifier. This water point needs to supply treated water and with a temperature ranging from 10ºC to 32ºC.

Also assess the pressure, which should be, on average, between 5 to 40 meters of water column (MCA), to ensure a good functioning of the purification system. But it is important to check this information in your purifier installation manual, as each model may have different requirements.

If the purifier is installed at a pressure lower than the stipulated limit, there will be little water flow, which increases the risk of leakage. On the other hand, if the device is installed in a place with a pressure greater than the limit, the system may break, which will cause filtration failure.

In addition to all these details, remember that, in the case of electric purifiers (which also cool or freeze water), it is contraindicated to connect them in double or triple extensions with other appliances in a single outlet. After all, there will be a greater risk of overcharging, damaging the product, and increasing the chances of a short circuit and fire.

How to install water purifier? 12 essential steps!

After choosing the right place, it is important to follow the proper steps to install the water purifier. The recommendation is to follow your appliance manufacturer's guidance manual.

If you don't have that possibility, you can consider the steps below. They are suitable for most devices.

Hydraulic installation:

Before installing the water purifier on the network, clean the filter according to the guidelines of each manufacturer.

Step 1: Turn off the water valve from the place where the appliance will be installed and pass a thread sealant on the pipe that will receive the 3/4 inch adapter.

Step 2: Connect the hose to the ¾ inch adapter and then connect the adapter to the faucet. If you are going to use a half-inch adapter fitting and the blind cap, before using it, remember to thread the sealing tape.

Step 3: Turn off the water supply at the installation site and screw the adapter into the wall water connection using a spanner or 22mm spanner. Use the blind cap to close the adapter or a faucet with a half-inch thread.

Step 4: Connect the hose to the connector by removing the nut and passing it through the hose.

Step 5: Connect the hose to the inlet of the cleaning head connected to the filter. Open the water valve and let the water flow for approximately 10 liters. Then close the registry.

Step 6: Use a pen to mark 17 mm on the end of the hose that will be connected behind the purifier at the water inlet. When re-installing the purifier, cut a piece of hose to remove the “scratched” part and remark 17 mm.

Step 7: Place the hose on the inlet until the pen mark is on the edge of the connector. Make sure the hose is not kinked. Connect the locks.

Step 8: Remove the filter cleaning head and insert the filter into the water softener. Rotate clockwise until the end of the course.

Step 9: Connect the plug to the power point.

Step 10: Press the reset button for 5 seconds.

Step 11: Open the water valve and test the filter, including the temperature knobs, such as chilled, cold or hot water, depending on the model.

Step 12: To remove the plastic taste, add a teaspoon of bleach and a teaspoon of vinegar to sanitize the filter. Let it act for 30 minutes and then take the purifier to the sink, remove the lid and wait until all the water in the reservoir comes out. Insert the lid again and open the registry. Take about 10 liters of water until it comes out tasteless. For any Plumbing Issues Click here

Step 2: Unplug the purifier from the wall outlet whenever you do any maintenance or cleaning.

Step 3: Always check the voltage and plug the purifier into an exclusive outlet.
